Born in Wauseon, Ohio, Tammy Gillespie’s love of art surfaced at a young age. Entering and winning local art contests encouraged her to pursue art in college. With a degree in graphic design, Tammy’s painting and drawing skills are intuitive and come from her heart.
Tammy’s passion for charcoal and paint under her nails is still evident. With an evolving style and willingness to try different mediums, such as painting murals, treasure boxes, lamps and upcycled art, Tammy’s intention is to inspire and be inspired with art. A lot of her creations hold a spiritual connection for her. Having a sense of adventure, Tammy has lived and painted on the West and East coasts. Her charcoal drawing of Buddha and watercolor with charcoal painting of Rome Angel have been showcased at Inspirations Gallery, NTC at Liberty Station in San Diego, California. Other intuitive paintings have been featured at Om Yoga in Fort Mill, South Carolina and ImageZ Salon & Spa in Indian Trail, North Carolina.
Along with her artistic endeavors, Tammy also loves to volunteer with organizations, such as Rainforest Art Project, and Family Matters, that empower the child in all of us to have fun, be creative, and get a little messy with art. "I am very grateful to have the opportunity to use art as a way to connect with others on a heart level."
In addition to painting, Tammy has been called to become a Reiki Master Practitioner. After receiving energy treatments to restore her health and well-being, she discovered a desire to help others realize their own power to heal themselves naturally. She has an advanced level Reiki certification from North Carolina Reiki Training Center in Asheville, NC and Reiki Master certification in San Diego, CA.
The love of the ocean has brought Tammy's journey full circle to San Diego, CA. With a grateful heart, she is blessed to have so many friends and family on both coasts, and many more sprinkled in between.
